American Sweet Potato Marketing Institute
The American Sweet Potato Marketing Institute (ASPMI) is a U.S. agricultural trade association representing U.S. sweet potato packers, growers, exporters, processors, trading companies, state associations, and affiliated industries. ASPMI is a USDA Cooperator headquartered at the North Carolina Sweet Potato Commission, but is a separate entity in itself. The role of the Institute is to explore, develop and maintain international markets for U.S. sweet potato exports through promotion, market research, and evaluation of potential new export markets. U.S. sweet potato exports are growing sharply, with key foreign markets including the UK, Benelux, and Canada.
Brewers Association
The Brewers Association is a not-for-profit trade association. The association is an organization of brewers, for brewers and by brewers. More than 3,800 U.S. brewery members and 46,000 members of the American Homebrewers Association are joined by members of the allied trade, beer wholesalers, retailers, individuals, other associate members and the Brewers Association staff to make up the Brewers Association. The main purpose: to promote and protect American craft brewers, their beers and the community of brewing enthusiasts.
California Table Grape Commission
The California Table Grape Commission (CTGC) was established by an act of the state’s legislature in 1967. The Commission’s importance to the state and its mandate – to maintain and expand markets for fresh California grapes and to create new and larger intrastate, interstate and foreign markets. The Commission’s activities are divided into five areas: Research, Trade Management, Issue Management, Education and Outreach and Advertising.
California Tree Fruit Agreement
California Tree Fruit Agreement (CTFA) was established in 1933 and represented more than 900 grower-shippers. The organization maintained and expended markets for California nectarines, peaches and plums. The organization was dissolved in 2011.
Cranberry Marketing Committee
The Cranberry Marketing Committee (CMC) was established as a Federal Marketing Order in 1962 to ensure a stable, orderly supply of good quality product. Currently, CMC conducts generic promotion programs in the United States, Australia, South Korea, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and Mexico.
